The category of Green Living & Self Sufficiency is full of books which will light a fire inside you about new and more sustainable ways to live.
If you’re unfamiliar with these terms, below is a brief description.
Green living, or sustainable living, describes a lifestyle that attempts to reduce the use of Earth’s natural resources by an individual or society. This is achieved through the attempt to reduce their ecological footprint by altering their home designs, methods of transportation, energy consumption and diet.
What is self sufficiency and what does it mean to be self-sufficient? Self-sufficient is defined as being able to provide for oneself without the help of others; independent. This means that you can provide your basic needs (food, water, shelter, energy) without relying on anyone. As well as helping to protect the environment, self-sufficiency can also save you money. Self-sufficiency is said to be both physically and mentally beneficial and provides ways to live naturally.
